Welcome to Dreams of Tomorrow: A semi-literate warriors RPG! We are a lake-based warriors RPG, set in the times after Visions of Shadows and the Broken Code, and featuring the four original Clans, SkyClan, and two unique rogue Clans: Yijiao and Viperion!
Warmth has returned to the lake territories, and the prey is running well. Medicine cats are appreciating the chance to evaluate their herb stores and toss out old supplies. But the cats are not without problems: many Clans are changing leadership, and Twolegs often plague the territories, swimming in the lake and walking their dogs.

Those In Charge ThunderClan has been simply enjoying the weather, with not much else happening over the past few moons. Rumor has it that Maskedheart is preparing to retire, and Hollyleaf has had her eye out for a new deputy, but things are quiet other than that. Shadowleaf, at least, has her paws full with all of the queens and elders, but she doesn’t seem to mind her busy schedule during this time of peace.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ThunderClan! Though it is the largest Clan, new characters are still welcome. Genders are even, but as always, nonbinary cats are very appreciated. Older characters are discouraged, as ThunderClan has an excessive amount of senior warriors and elders.
Those In Charge The death of Icestar barely seems to have caused ShadowClan’s bloodthirsty leadership to waver. Maplestar and Redflower are a true power duo. They’re stronger than ever, perhaps even more so than the combination of Icestar and Mapledream, which doesn’t bode well for peace around the lake territories. Privately, Redflower has been plotting with her mate to take over. Rowanspirit, meanwhile, is still doing well and seems confident in his ability to care for the Clan.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ShadowClan! She-cats are somewhat encouraged to even out the genders, and older characters are slightly discouraged due to their sheer amount of senior warriors.
Those In Charge Peace has come to WindClan at last, and its members have been glad about the lack of major events over the past moons. Flamestar is starting to talk to Swallowstripe about retirement, but they seem to be in no particular rush; the leader still has plenty of lives despite her old age. For her part, Ryewhisker has been handling the moons as they come, steadfast as always. She is enjoying the warmer weather, and rumor has it that the three-legged medicine cat is keeping an eye out for a potential apprentice of her own.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in WindClan! New characters are especially encouraged for this Clan, as it is one of the smallest. Toms are strongly encouraged, as are expecting queens, but apprentices are slightly discouraged in order to give the current group a chance to age out of the den.
Those In Charge Even though the influx of foxes has been thoroughly dealt with, the situation in RiverClan is still uncertain. A newleaf flood did a significant amount of damage to the camp, and Frostedstar lost a life in the ordeal. The Clan is starting to worry; he’s getting up there in moons, and this is far from the first time he’s lost one of his lives. Snowstep and Ripplepool are concerned, but at the same time, Ripplepool has seemed a little distracted. Those with a keen eye might realize she’s been away from her den quite often, meeting with a certain tom.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in RiverClan! However, they have a lot of apprentices at the moment, and the same goes for senior warriors. The older character situation is likely going to be an ongoing issue for all of the Clans until the next major battle or whatever.
Those In Charge After being attacked and losing two lives to his own daughter gone rogue, Coalstar has stepped down from his position, retiring to senior warrior rank as Coalstorm. Fallenstar is now SkyClan’s leader. Despite her youth and inexperience, she is eager to prove herself. Nettleheart, her mate, has taken the role of deputy. Meanwhile, Acornleap is still working with Tansysight, making sure her former apprentice has everything she needs for the inevitable day when she will be SkyClan’s only medicine cat.
Bans and Encouragements Due to a massive influx of kits, SkyClan currently has a full ban on all new characters. This ban will be lifted once their numbers have had a chance to even out.
Those In Charge Life has been good in Yijiao. Helfeirch is still a powerful teller, and she seems even more confident now that she is running the group alongside her heir. Carnivore has settled into the position of vice as if it were made for him; he is talented and formidable despite his relative youth. The only issue for these cavern-dwelling cats is that contracts have been few and far between. Many assassins and bounty hunters have been getting restless, venturing out of the caves just to stretch their legs, and making the local rogues and loners very nervous in the process.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Yijiao! Cats of all ages and genders are appreciated. Contract keepers and new queens are especially encouraged!
Those In Charge Viperion’s era of stability has passed with the death of its first monarch. While Vagabond has taken the throne and asserted his control over the group, nobody can deny that times are changing, and nothing seems set in stone anymore. The new monarch has declined to select a lieutenant so far, but he has chosen his own set of royalty, with only Regina retaining her old title. They will need to be ready for what the future holds; strange cats lurk at the borders, and echoes of the past seem to be coming back to life.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Viperion! Elders are encouraged, but cadets and kits are discouraged, to give the current group a chance to grow up. Please note that royalty and fen are both locked to in-play promotion/demotion only.
an undersized black she-cat emerged from slumber, eyes blinking against the suddenly harsh sunlight. windclan's camp offered little in the way of treetop protection but most of the clan were more than used to it. nevertheless, it was always a shock to go from the dark of the den to burning rays. the sleepiness sufficiently shoved away, rookmask took a moment to survey the camp's morning activities.
most of the clan's warriors were gathered near the kill pile, dividing up duties for the first part of the day. among them was shadewhisker. he didn't appear to take notice of her, or if he did, he completely disregarded her existence. business as usual. she had no desire to take up her spot with the other warriors and inevitably disappoint them for the rest of the day but it wasn't as if she had much of a choice. with a last glance back at the cozy den, she forced herself to creep to the edge of the group, within shadewhisker's line of sight.
that was definitely the wrong place to appear. shadewhisker's look of interest at what the other warriors were saying almost immediately turned to displaced anger. he stood up abruptly and glanced at their clanmates. "i'll go with the apprentices today, see how their moves are going." he declared. and with that, the arrogant tom turned his back on rookmask and walked away to where the apprentices were chatting away excitedly.
though this was far from an unusual interaction, it still always managed to hurt rookmask's heart. she wasn't quite sure why, as her whole life had been like this and once would assume she would get used to it, but she supposed there would always be some gap where her parents were supposed to be. she shook off the rather depressing thought as one of the more senior warriors called her name.
"rookmask! i want you and tigerfire to check the border with thunderclan. its been quiet, but we need to keep on top of everything just to be safe."
tigerfire? the black warrior gave a slight nod at the order and glanced towards her assigned partner. they were apprentices together for a while, but were never close. he seemed a bit too... fiery... for her liking. she had heard the whispers about his lineage and that that had been the reason for his cockiness. to an extent, rookmask understood his reasoning, for she had done similar to try to prove herself worthy of shadewhisker's love, but she had gone in the opposite direction. timid and discouraged.
with a grimace she forced herself to her paws and stepped to tigerfire's side. "i suppose we can try to catch something while we're out." she mumbled. not that she wanted to, but she knew it was expected of them.

Tigerfire stretched out his long limbs, it was dark in the warriors den, but it could be sunhigh and it would be dark as night in the WindClan warrior's den. He had to pick carefully around sleeping bodies, noting that there were only a pawful of cats up already on his way out into the weak dawn light. He never failed to wake up before the sun made its way over the hills, and always was one of the first up. Tigerfire heard the muted discussion going on already about patrols but nothing was being set in stone so he chose a rather scrawny rabbit from the fresh kill pile and watched the den as the rest of the warriors emerged as he picked the lean meat off his rabbit. The crept slowly up into the sky as some of the more senior warriors exiting, his father included. He kept his pale yellow eyes on Wolfspirit as he joined the circle of warriors discussing patrols, and sharing tongues. Tigerfire sat like this, with his gaze drawn to the cat that taught him everything he knew but also the cat that seemed to have nothing to do with him since. They didn't have that closeness of mentor and apprentice that most pairs did, and they sure as StarClan did not have the closeness a father and son would have.
A cat moved right in front of him interrupting his line of sight, it was Shadewhisker, a senior warrior that Tigerfire never really cared for. His cold demeanor towards his daughter Rookmask did not adhere the young tom to him. Family was everything to a cat who lost their main family member as an apprentice and he just could not understand a tom who know he was all his kit had, and still was cruel and intentionally damaging. While he didn't know very much about what happened as they were kits because Rookmask and Shadewhisker were WindClan hostages rather than the refugees in the SkyClan camp during the great battle. He wrinkled his muzzle a little in disgusted but made his way over to the circle of warriors getting assigned duties, most of the cats were here now, so he sat down next to Lemonfrost who nodded at him briefly. He listened as they debated the best patrol routes and who would be best for hunting.
He was grooming his shoulders while listening when Shadewhisker's abrupt voice and command that he was going with the mentors and their apprentices to see how battle moves were going, he looked up sharply to see Rookmask slinking closer and Shadewhisker sweeping away to the apprentices. Lemonfrost next to him rolled her eyes, and whispered 'bossy aint' he?' and moved on to follow the tom to where her apprentice sat there. Tigerfire chuckled briefly and then frowned as his name was spoken. He swiveled his head around and saw he was assigned to a patrol with the cat he was just thinking about. He watched her face contort to a grimace before she made her way over to him and mentioned about bringing home prey too on top of their patrol.
"Well, if the prey runs our way, who are we to say no?" he asked looking at her with a slight smirk before moving towards the entrance at a pace where she could keep up easily. He knew it was no secret he was a fast mover because of how long his legs were, taking over twice as much ground as some of his clanmates, and he didn't want to leave her behind. He tilted his head towards the end of the border with ThunderClan by the path that lead to the moonpool before looking back at the small black warrior, "We can start with the border that connects to ThunderClan territory by the moonpool, and then work our way down to the lake, as it gets hotter the breeze off the lake will feel better if we take it that way," he said with a tone that offered no room to argue with him.
the small she-cat blinked, a bit surprised that he had taken charge so quickly. with a shrug to herself she set off after him. it was quite strange to see a cat of his size among her more lithe clanmates, stranger still that he was often faster than the rest of them simply because of his stride. not that she cared particularly, it was just interesting to dwell upon.
she gave a slight nod at tigerfire's not-exactly-a-suggestion suggestion. what he had decided made sense and rookmask was never one to argue anyway. the greenleaf heat was quite prominent these days and with much of windclan's territory lacking foliage, it would be a welcome relief to be near the lake as the sun rose higher in the sky. the trees along the border with thunderclan would be welcome shade as well, and would perhaps offer some good opportunities for some fat squirrels.
she trailed behind a bit, keeping a steady pace near his side rather than be shoulder-to-shoulder. she always preferred to let her clanmates take the lead. there was a kind of uncomfortable silence between them. though rookmask preferred the silence, she didn't quite enjoy awkwardness. she studied their surroundings, desperately trying to think of a topic of conversation. "so... the weather is nice." she offered. "i suppose this means prey will be good well into leaf-fall."
