Welcome to Dreams of Tomorrow: A semi-literate warriors RPG! We are a lake-based warriors RPG, set in the times after Visions of Shadows and the Broken Code, and featuring the four original Clans, SkyClan, and two unique rogue Clans: Yijiao and Viperion!
Warmth has returned to the lake territories, and the prey is running well. Medicine cats are appreciating the chance to evaluate their herb stores and toss out old supplies. But the cats are not without problems: many Clans are changing leadership, and Twolegs often plague the territories, swimming in the lake and walking their dogs.

Those In Charge ThunderClan has been simply enjoying the weather, with not much else happening over the past few moons. Rumor has it that Maskedheart is preparing to retire, and Hollyleaf has had her eye out for a new deputy, but things are quiet other than that. Shadowleaf, at least, has her paws full with all of the queens and elders, but she doesn’t seem to mind her busy schedule during this time of peace.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ThunderClan! Though it is the largest Clan, new characters are still welcome. Genders are even, but as always, nonbinary cats are very appreciated. Older characters are discouraged, as ThunderClan has an excessive amount of senior warriors and elders.
Those In Charge The death of Icestar barely seems to have caused ShadowClan’s bloodthirsty leadership to waver. Maplestar and Redflower are a true power duo. They’re stronger than ever, perhaps even more so than the combination of Icestar and Mapledream, which doesn’t bode well for peace around the lake territories. Privately, Redflower has been plotting with her mate to take over. Rowanspirit, meanwhile, is still doing well and seems confident in his ability to care for the Clan.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ShadowClan! She-cats are somewhat encouraged to even out the genders, and older characters are slightly discouraged due to their sheer amount of senior warriors.
Those In Charge Peace has come to WindClan at last, and its members have been glad about the lack of major events over the past moons. Flamestar is starting to talk to Swallowstripe about retirement, but they seem to be in no particular rush; the leader still has plenty of lives despite her old age. For her part, Ryewhisker has been handling the moons as they come, steadfast as always. She is enjoying the warmer weather, and rumor has it that the three-legged medicine cat is keeping an eye out for a potential apprentice of her own.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in WindClan! New characters are especially encouraged for this Clan, as it is one of the smallest. Toms are strongly encouraged, as are expecting queens, but apprentices are slightly discouraged in order to give the current group a chance to age out of the den.
Those In Charge Even though the influx of foxes has been thoroughly dealt with, the situation in RiverClan is still uncertain. A newleaf flood did a significant amount of damage to the camp, and Frostedstar lost a life in the ordeal. The Clan is starting to worry; he’s getting up there in moons, and this is far from the first time he’s lost one of his lives. Snowstep and Ripplepool are concerned, but at the same time, Ripplepool has seemed a little distracted. Those with a keen eye might realize she’s been away from her den quite often, meeting with a certain tom.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in RiverClan! However, they have a lot of apprentices at the moment, and the same goes for senior warriors. The older character situation is likely going to be an ongoing issue for all of the Clans until the next major battle or whatever.
Those In Charge After being attacked and losing two lives to his own daughter gone rogue, Coalstar has stepped down from his position, retiring to senior warrior rank as Coalstorm. Fallenstar is now SkyClan’s leader. Despite her youth and inexperience, she is eager to prove herself. Nettleheart, her mate, has taken the role of deputy. Meanwhile, Acornleap is still working with Tansysight, making sure her former apprentice has everything she needs for the inevitable day when she will be SkyClan’s only medicine cat.
Bans and Encouragements Due to a massive influx of kits, SkyClan currently has a full ban on all new characters. This ban will be lifted once their numbers have had a chance to even out.
Those In Charge Life has been good in Yijiao. Helfeirch is still a powerful teller, and she seems even more confident now that she is running the group alongside her heir. Carnivore has settled into the position of vice as if it were made for him; he is talented and formidable despite his relative youth. The only issue for these cavern-dwelling cats is that contracts have been few and far between. Many assassins and bounty hunters have been getting restless, venturing out of the caves just to stretch their legs, and making the local rogues and loners very nervous in the process.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Yijiao! Cats of all ages and genders are appreciated. Contract keepers and new queens are especially encouraged!
Those In Charge Viperion’s era of stability has passed with the death of its first monarch. While Vagabond has taken the throne and asserted his control over the group, nobody can deny that times are changing, and nothing seems set in stone anymore. The new monarch has declined to select a lieutenant so far, but he has chosen his own set of royalty, with only Regina retaining her old title. They will need to be ready for what the future holds; strange cats lurk at the borders, and echoes of the past seem to be coming back to life.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Viperion! Elders are encouraged, but cadets and kits are discouraged, to give the current group a chance to grow up. Please note that royalty and fen are both locked to in-play promotion/demotion only.
pebblefur was so content with his life in this moment, he almost felt like rockdapple. not only had he earned his warrior name the moon before, but now he had been given an apprentice to train. not just any apprentice, either, but his former mentor's son. pebblefur was determine to prove to sycamorefur and flamestar that he was one of the best warriors that windclan had, and he knew he could do so by being the best mentor to ryepaw possible. the young tom had potential just flowing through his veins, and his new mentor was excited to tap into it.
today, however, they would be joined by another, older apprentice. doeface wasn't feeling well, and so pebblefur had been tasked with not only taking his apprentice out for the day, but also taking out larkpaw. pebblefur knew little about the she-cat besides the basics. they had shared the apprentice den for a few moons, but pebblefur had rarely socialized past rockdapple with the other apprentices, much to her frustration. but, pebblefur had thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get rockdapple's head out of the clouds as well, so he had recruited his littermate to assist him with his training for the day, being that he had an extra apprentice to work with. the fluffy calico she-cat sat beside him, her blue gaze drifting around the hollow as they awaited for the pair of apprentices to arrive.
"are you sure you want my help?" the she-cat questioned, flicking her tail out of boredom. "Yes, rockdapple. we're going to practice hunting. I'm sure you can be very helpful in that department." He mewed. it was well known that rockdapple was a skilled hunter, while pebblefur's strength was far more battle-oriented. the she-cat nodded in understanding. she would do anything to help her brother, after all. perhaps the day would turn out to be more interesting than she was expecting.
`ooc notes; training thread for ryepaw and larkpaw!
Larkpaw was on her way towards the training hollow, ready to get started for the day. There was a bit of uncertainty to how today would go, as Doeface was ill. Unfortunately, being Doeface's apprentice, that meant Larkpaw's training would be experiencing some form of disruption. Opposed to not being able to go out at all, Larkpaw had been assigned to train with Pebblefur and Ryepaw today. She knew Ryepaw reasonably well, being their denmate and all, but didn't know very much at all about Pebblefur other than that he was young and seemed to be a good WindClan warrior. Hopefully he was a fair mentor.
As she made her way into the training hollow, she spotted Pebblefur already there waiting for them. She noted that another cat was here, Rockdapple, Pebblefur's sister who was also a young warrior, though she didn't have her own apprentice yet. Politely, Larkpaw nodded to both of them, "Good morning Pebblefur, Rockdapple." She glanced around once or twice, "Ryepaw isn't here yet I guess." It wasn't unusual for Larkpaw to be one of the earlier apprentices to show up for training. It was just in her nature to not leave any cat waiting if she could help it.

a first time for everything || 235
ryepaw had definitely had a lazy morning, compared to his usual, average punctuality. he'd woken up drowsy and barely able to keep his eyes open, rolling in and out of sleep for a little while past what he should have, given he had training that day. when the fluffy tom was finally able to get to his paws, he shook out his pelt a few times in an attempt to wake himself further--of course, that didn't work to the extent that he'd hoped. his belly rumbled and as he headed for the camp entrance, he glanced longingly toward the fresh-kill pile... no one would miss a mouse, right? It wasn't like apprentices hadn't quietly stolen a meal before they were supposed to in clan history?
the tom was able to snag a tiny mouse from the edge of the pile without anyone noticing, carrying it swiftly out of the camp to eat in two mouthfuls before running toward the training hollow, now slightly more content since he'd eaten. the thought of going against the warrior code whisked out of his mind as he saw his mentor and sister waiting for him in the training grounds.
"i suppose i'm late!" he mewed as he tumbled down, a fluffy and unkempt mess compared to his sleek and beautiful littermate. "my bad, i woke up a little tired than i should have been, what're we doing today, again?"

Pebblefur watched as Larkpaw entered the clearing first, noting her overall maturity. The she-cat held herself properly and addressed himself and Rockdapple appropriately. The young warrior appreciated her demeanor, and as she noted that Ryepaw wasn't yet there, the tom held in a sigh. Of course his apprentice would be the one to be late. Not that he would hold it against the young tom, but he silently wished that he would be just a bit more punctual. Pebblefur would have never dreamed of making Sycamorefur wait. Feeling his anxiety, Rockdapple shot a look at her brother, before mewing to the she-cat, "Good morning! I'm sure he'll be here soon!" She mewed cheerfully.
Not a moment later, the white and gold apprentice found his way into the hollow, his fluffy, messy pelt resembling that of Rockdapple's. Pebblefur held in a smirk at that thought, thinking of how much the tom reminded him of his sister as an apprentice. Well, perhaps even now. He wouldn't be too hard on the young tom for that reason in particular. "Good morning, nice to have you join us, Ryepaw." He mewed, green gaze holding the younger tom's. "Today we are going to be practicing your hunting skills. We have Rockdapple here to help us, as Doeface isn't feeling well." Pebblefur explained, motioning to the entrance of the hollow. "Let's head out on the moors and see what we can find."
Leading the way with Rockdapple padding along happily behind, the quartet set out on the moors to find a promising piece of land. When the fresh scent of hare wafted over their noses, the brother and sister pair stopped, and Rockdapple decided to take the lead. Hunting was her specialty, after all. "Ok! Let's see what you two have got before we turn you free. Show me your hunters crouches!" She mewed, voice filled with excitement as she waited to see where each apprentice was starting at. She knew Larkpaw was older and likely had plenty of experience with this sort of thing, but nevertheless a little extra practice never hurt anyone.
Larkpaw rolled her eyes as Ryepaw came barreling into the training hollow, acting almost like his tail was on fire. He was constantly late for training, for anything really, it seemed to be an unfortunate talent of his. Good thing he was fun.
Polite as she was Larkpaw had to stifle a sigh as she was asked to practice a hunting crouch before she could be set loose. She rather suggested this was more for Ryepaw's benefit than hers, and that she was just along for the demonstration. Well, there was an opportunity to show her skills and get hunting, and she'd be free. Maybe she'd even show Ryepaw up a little bit. He was a nice tom, and she enjoyed him as a denmate, but she rather thought he should slow down and pay more attention to his mentors, to practice more.
Larkpaw neatly dropped into a light-footed crouch, her paws careful to make no noise as they brushed the grass, moving so that her fur didn't brush against itself to make any noise that would alarm a hare. She moved forward silently, deliberately, then glanced over her shoulder to see what progress Ryepaw was making.
