Welcome to Dreams of Tomorrow: A semi-literate warriors RPG! We are a lake-based warriors RPG, set in the times after Visions of Shadows and the Broken Code, and featuring the four original Clans, SkyClan, and two unique rogue Clans: Yijiao and Viperion!
Warmth has returned to the lake territories, and the prey is running well. Medicine cats are appreciating the chance to evaluate their herb stores and toss out old supplies. But the cats are not without problems: many Clans are changing leadership, and Twolegs often plague the territories, swimming in the lake and walking their dogs.

Those In Charge ThunderClan has been simply enjoying the weather, with not much else happening over the past few moons. Rumor has it that Maskedheart is preparing to retire, and Hollyleaf has had her eye out for a new deputy, but things are quiet other than that. Shadowleaf, at least, has her paws full with all of the queens and elders, but she doesn’t seem to mind her busy schedule during this time of peace.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ThunderClan! Though it is the largest Clan, new characters are still welcome. Genders are even, but as always, nonbinary cats are very appreciated. Older characters are discouraged, as ThunderClan has an excessive amount of senior warriors and elders.
Those In Charge The death of Icestar barely seems to have caused ShadowClan’s bloodthirsty leadership to waver. Maplestar and Redflower are a true power duo. They’re stronger than ever, perhaps even more so than the combination of Icestar and Mapledream, which doesn’t bode well for peace around the lake territories. Privately, Redflower has been plotting with her mate to take over. Rowanspirit, meanwhile, is still doing well and seems confident in his ability to care for the Clan.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ShadowClan! She-cats are somewhat encouraged to even out the genders, and older characters are slightly discouraged due to their sheer amount of senior warriors.
Those In Charge Peace has come to WindClan at last, and its members have been glad about the lack of major events over the past moons. Flamestar is starting to talk to Swallowstripe about retirement, but they seem to be in no particular rush; the leader still has plenty of lives despite her old age. For her part, Ryewhisker has been handling the moons as they come, steadfast as always. She is enjoying the warmer weather, and rumor has it that the three-legged medicine cat is keeping an eye out for a potential apprentice of her own.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in WindClan! New characters are especially encouraged for this Clan, as it is one of the smallest. Toms are strongly encouraged, as are expecting queens, but apprentices are slightly discouraged in order to give the current group a chance to age out of the den.
Those In Charge Even though the influx of foxes has been thoroughly dealt with, the situation in RiverClan is still uncertain. A newleaf flood did a significant amount of damage to the camp, and Frostedstar lost a life in the ordeal. The Clan is starting to worry; he’s getting up there in moons, and this is far from the first time he’s lost one of his lives. Snowstep and Ripplepool are concerned, but at the same time, Ripplepool has seemed a little distracted. Those with a keen eye might realize she’s been away from her den quite often, meeting with a certain tom.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in RiverClan! However, they have a lot of apprentices at the moment, and the same goes for senior warriors. The older character situation is likely going to be an ongoing issue for all of the Clans until the next major battle or whatever.
Those In Charge After being attacked and losing two lives to his own daughter gone rogue, Coalstar has stepped down from his position, retiring to senior warrior rank as Coalstorm. Fallenstar is now SkyClan’s leader. Despite her youth and inexperience, she is eager to prove herself. Nettleheart, her mate, has taken the role of deputy. Meanwhile, Acornleap is still working with Tansysight, making sure her former apprentice has everything she needs for the inevitable day when she will be SkyClan’s only medicine cat.
Bans and Encouragements Due to a massive influx of kits, SkyClan currently has a full ban on all new characters. This ban will be lifted once their numbers have had a chance to even out.
Those In Charge Life has been good in Yijiao. Helfeirch is still a powerful teller, and she seems even more confident now that she is running the group alongside her heir. Carnivore has settled into the position of vice as if it were made for him; he is talented and formidable despite his relative youth. The only issue for these cavern-dwelling cats is that contracts have been few and far between. Many assassins and bounty hunters have been getting restless, venturing out of the caves just to stretch their legs, and making the local rogues and loners very nervous in the process.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Yijiao! Cats of all ages and genders are appreciated. Contract keepers and new queens are especially encouraged!
Those In Charge Viperion’s era of stability has passed with the death of its first monarch. While Vagabond has taken the throne and asserted his control over the group, nobody can deny that times are changing, and nothing seems set in stone anymore. The new monarch has declined to select a lieutenant so far, but he has chosen his own set of royalty, with only Regina retaining her old title. They will need to be ready for what the future holds; strange cats lurk at the borders, and echoes of the past seem to be coming back to life.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Viperion! Elders are encouraged, but cadets and kits are discouraged, to give the current group a chance to grow up. Please note that royalty and fen are both locked to in-play promotion/demotion only.
To say that Creamdapple was impressed with anything at the moment was an understatement. She was completely and utterly furious. It wasn't just enough that she was talked behind her back because of her rather vicious attitude - "Such rudeness for a leader's child!" and "Perhaps she'd fit in better in her mother's original home of ShadowClan - those ragabonds." It completely infuriated, and she retaliated by not doing the proper duties of a SkyClan cat - perhaps that was why her promotion had taken longer than her siblings. Now, all her siblings had had apprentices (not her) and her own twin, the one she'd felt the closest too her whole life was drifting away from her with her role as deputy.
She snarled at the thought. Perfect Fallenleaf. Everything had always seemed to be about her sister, even when they were younger. Their father had taken on Fallenleaf as his own apprentice at that, while giving Creamdapple to Cougarfrost, who was originally a ShadowClan, and the son of his nemesis. As always, she got the lower end of the stick. She'd never been able to get used to climbing and jumping through the branches, always grimacing at the thought of going through the trees. She preferred the underground, and fighting. If there was one thing Creamdapple had on her sister, it was that she was better at fighting.
Everything seemed to annoy her these days, and the sight of her father was making things worse and worse. It was all his fault. He'd done his duties as a leader, and only stepped in to help her when things escalated to fighting with claws, but he tended to brush the words that had been said aside. Apparently it would make her stronger, as he'd had words said about him when he was younger as well. But she recognized the attitude. Every since she'd started showing signs of being far more...bloodthirsty than the rest of her family, he'd began treating her differently, almost like Briarthorn, yet... still forced into caring. He never seemed to encourage her, just scold her for everything she did, as if her very existence was something against him.
Still, if only he knew the trouble she got into with him not caring much, especially with what she was doing at this moment, as she made her way through the marshes that were abundant in this land with ease. If those SkyClan cats could see her now, they'd definitely call her ShadowClan. 'Let them, I'll show them I'm better than them... one day." Surprisingly, there was still one cat in this world that could make her feel... normal, to make her feel like she belonged in this world.
Caspian. He belonged to that rogue group from Viperion, and though their first meeting had been fierce, they'd continued meeting, their sharp tongues bantering with each other easily. It had been the first time in a long time she'd felt herself relax, perhaps not since when she'd been a kit. To think the one cat she could be herself with wasn't a member of her own family. If they knew what she was like, they'd scorn her. She'd definitely seen Tansysight eyeing her lately, even more so than usual. Then again, the medicine cat apprentice had been wary of her since Creamdapple could remember.
Back to Caspian, she knew today wasn't a day they were supposed to be meeting, but she just couldn't help herself. She just needed a day to be with him, especially after seeing Fallenleaf that morning, Nettleheart at her side, giving the orders of the day. Ugh. The perfectionism. She needed a day to be herself, and the only way to do that was be with the Viperion tom.
Such a pity he wasn't SkyClan, or she a rogue with him. They'd make a pretty good team.
Caspian had been hanging out just outside Viperion territory for the better part of the morning. Though he was quite comfortable in the marshy forest of Viperion, there were times he wanted to get away, somewhat for a change of scenery, somewhat to get away from his very extended family, and, well, to see some cats who were not extended family.
He had met Creamdapple some time ago, and had been somewhat surprised by the SkyClan she-cat. She seemed very unlike what he had been told Clan cats were like, and, well, very rouge like, considering she was a cat who had sworn to uphold the warrior code. Though, perhaps, she might counter the same about him in Viperion. Though he was certainly not to the point where Drought would demote him to fen, as he was a pretty decent fighter - if he might say so himself. On the other hand, however, he was no Regina.
The brown tabby wasn't surprised to scent Creamdapple heading his way, either by accident or having scented him, but it didn't matter. The tom peered down from the low branch he had been resting on, his thick tail twitching as he watched the irritable she-cat tramping through the brush, "Well Creamdapple, you look as though someone put mouse-bile in your fresh-kill. What's wrong today?"
NOTES ; short, sorry, but Casp doesn't need as much backstory.
Right at the perfect moment. Caspian truly did have a knack for showing up right when he was needed. While they hadn't planned to meet up, it seemed fate, or whoever was controlling their life, was letting them have their way for once.
The ginger and white she-cat couldn't help the scowl on her face at his words, and where exactly he was, though. Huffing, she tensed her muscles and jumped onto the branch he was, making the jump, albeit narrowly, and a back paw slipped off the branch as she somewhat lost her balance. She would never enjoy this. Caspian better be honoured she'd jumped into a tree for him. She settled down in front of him, a front paw and her tail dangling off the side.
"Mouse-bile would have been preferable. Not only am I still being compared to all of my siblings, especially Fallenleaf, but now Fallenleaf's kits are chasing after me for attention. What part of me screams I want anything to do with their life?" Creamdapple muttered angrily.
She let out a sigh, "Nobody will accept the fact that I'm not like them. I don't care for their code, especially when my own parents are rather hyporitical of it, having defied it. Nobody says a word to Coalstar or Sunshower, or even my siblings about it. They only take their words out on me, because I'm more ShadowClan than SkyClan." She unsheathed the claws on the front paw that was still on the branch, dipping them into the bark.
"And how is the oh-so very large family situation of yours? That sister of yours still bordering being... fen was it?" She did somewhat admire that about Viperion, from what little Caspian had told her about it. Those who didn't fit their way of life were given a permanent reminder of it. She knew the Clans would be aghast if they knew, horrified at the very thought. But she thought it was a rather brilliant tactic. What better way to force the minds of the weak to grow stronger than to scare them into it?
It didn't take long for Creamdapple to find Caspian perched on a tree branch just above her head. He noticed her grimacing up at him, but she eventually hauled herself onto the branch besides him, her tail and paw lounging off the branches in a more casual posture than she would normally take.
Caspian's thick tail flicked to brush Creamdapple's paw once sympathetically as she voiced her woes over her family, and that her troubles seemed to be getting worse. There was a part of Caspian that was wistful, and almost longed for Creamdapple's problems. Of course, he had Skye, but, she was really it. He'd never been permitted to spent too much time with his younger siblings, and he didn't know any of his half-siblings very well at all. Though Brandy's praise was always welcome with Caspian, he somehow wished he'd have more of it. Not that he'd voice these thoughts, and certainly not to Creamdapple. If she said she was suffering, he believed her. "Fallenleaf's kits will grow up and lose interest in you, as kits do with age," he assured her.
When Creamdapple ranted on about how she felt out of place in her family, Caspian flashed her a smile, one he meant to be encouraging rather than mocking, "Well now, your mother defected from her Clan of birth, did she not? What's to stop you from righting that wrong? Personally I think ShadowClan would be all too happy to have a cat like you in their ranks." He wanted to suggest that she would likely be happy among the ranks of Viperion as well, but he held his tongue. This wasn't his place, and if she wasn't accepted, she could be punished enough to make her wish she had stayed with her family. And, he, well, would likely wish that he had fled from Viperion itself.
"My family's fine," Caspian answered in a reflexive, slightly automatic way. Sure, his younger siblings were generally doing well ... with the exception of one, but there was little Caspian was allowed to do for him, though he wished he could. Brandy was always well when she saw her kits rising in ranks. Skye was ... "Well, it's hard to say with Drought," Caspian cautioned, not bothering to refer to the leader as his father, "Skye shows enough progress to have kept him from doing anything to her now, and she has a kit to raise, one who shows promise if you ask me. And she's watched what's happened to ... cats ... who become fen, she doesn't want that for herself."
