Welcome to Dreams of Tomorrow: A semi-literate warriors RPG! We are a lake-based warriors RPG, set in the times after Visions of Shadows and the Broken Code, and featuring the four original Clans, SkyClan, and two unique rogue Clans: Yijiao and Viperion!
Warmth has returned to the lake territories, and the prey is running well. Medicine cats are appreciating the chance to evaluate their herb stores and toss out old supplies. But the cats are not without problems: many Clans are changing leadership, and Twolegs often plague the territories, swimming in the lake and walking their dogs.

toms 226 she-cats 239 nonbinary 015 living total 480
Those In Charge ThunderClan has been simply enjoying the weather, with not much else happening over the past few moons. Rumor has it that Maskedheart is preparing to retire, and Hollyleaf has had her eye out for a new deputy, but things are quiet other than that. Shadowleaf, at least, has her paws full with all of the queens and elders, but she doesn’t seem to mind her busy schedule during this time of peace.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ThunderClan! Though it is the largest Clan, new characters are still welcome. Genders are even, but as always, nonbinary cats are very appreciated. Older characters are discouraged, as ThunderClan has an excessive amount of senior warriors and elders.
Those In Charge The death of Icestar barely seems to have caused ShadowClan’s bloodthirsty leadership to waver. Maplestar and Redflower are a true power duo. They’re stronger than ever, perhaps even more so than the combination of Icestar and Mapledream, which doesn’t bode well for peace around the lake territories. Privately, Redflower has been plotting with her mate to take over. Rowanspirit, meanwhile, is still doing well and seems confident in his ability to care for the Clan.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in ShadowClan! She-cats are somewhat encouraged to even out the genders, and older characters are slightly discouraged due to their sheer amount of senior warriors.
Those In Charge Peace has come to WindClan at last, and its members have been glad about the lack of major events over the past moons. Flamestar is starting to talk to Swallowstripe about retirement, but they seem to be in no particular rush; the leader still has plenty of lives despite her old age. For her part, Ryewhisker has been handling the moons as they come, steadfast as always. She is enjoying the warmer weather, and rumor has it that the three-legged medicine cat is keeping an eye out for a potential apprentice of her own.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in WindClan! New characters are especially encouraged for this Clan, as it is one of the smallest. Toms are strongly encouraged, as are expecting queens, but apprentices are slightly discouraged in order to give the current group a chance to age out of the den.
Those In Charge Even though the influx of foxes has been thoroughly dealt with, the situation in RiverClan is still uncertain. A newleaf flood did a significant amount of damage to the camp, and Frostedstar lost a life in the ordeal. The Clan is starting to worry; he’s getting up there in moons, and this is far from the first time he’s lost one of his lives. Snowstep and Ripplepool are concerned, but at the same time, Ripplepool has seemed a little distracted. Those with a keen eye might realize she’s been away from her den quite often, meeting with a certain tom.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in RiverClan! However, they have a lot of apprentices at the moment, and the same goes for senior warriors. The older character situation is likely going to be an ongoing issue for all of the Clans until the next major battle or whatever.
Those In Charge After being attacked and losing two lives to his own daughter gone rogue, Coalstar has stepped down from his position, retiring to senior warrior rank as Coalstorm. Fallenstar is now SkyClan’s leader. Despite her youth and inexperience, she is eager to prove herself. Nettleheart, her mate, has taken the role of deputy. Meanwhile, Acornleap is still working with Tansysight, making sure her former apprentice has everything she needs for the inevitable day when she will be SkyClan’s only medicine cat.
Bans and Encouragements Due to a massive influx of kits, SkyClan currently has a full ban on all new characters. This ban will be lifted once their numbers have had a chance to even out.
Those In Charge Life has been good in Yijiao. Helfeirch is still a powerful teller, and she seems even more confident now that she is running the group alongside her heir. Carnivore has settled into the position of vice as if it were made for him; he is talented and formidable despite his relative youth. The only issue for these cavern-dwelling cats is that contracts have been few and far between. Many assassins and bounty hunters have been getting restless, venturing out of the caves just to stretch their legs, and making the local rogues and loners very nervous in the process.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Yijiao! Cats of all ages and genders are appreciated. Contract keepers and new queens are especially encouraged!
Those In Charge Viperion’s era of stability has passed with the death of its first monarch. While Vagabond has taken the throne and asserted his control over the group, nobody can deny that times are changing, and nothing seems set in stone anymore. The new monarch has declined to select a lieutenant so far, but he has chosen his own set of royalty, with only Regina retaining her old title. They will need to be ready for what the future holds; strange cats lurk at the borders, and echoes of the past seem to be coming back to life.
Bans and Encouragements There are currently no bans in Viperion! Elders are encouraged, but cadets and kits are discouraged, to give the current group a chance to grow up. Please note that royalty and fen are both locked to in-play promotion/demotion only.
Acornleap's amber eyes blinked open in her nest, her head still fogged with sleep and her jaws parting in a wide yawn. It was another day in SkyClan with cats to attend to, stores of herbs to sort, with omens to read from StarClan ... It was always busy work, of the best kind of course, and all the better to do now that LeopardClan's threat was gone. Now, all she would have to worry about was fighting greencough and achy joints, and listening to what StarClan had to tell her. Well, and maybe fixing the draft she could feel blowing chilly air across her coat.
The golden tabby she-cat felt restless in her nest, her paws itching to get moving for the day, and seeing as the sun was beginning to rise, light filtering into the medicine cat's den, it wasn't too early to get the day started. The medicine cat sat up in her next, taking a moment to groom her coat flat, before carefully padding out of her nest to allow Tanysight a little more time to sleep. She'd be up before long, there was no reason to wake her just yet.
The queen padded towards the mouth of the medicine cat's den, ears pricked to listen outside, her jaws parted to taste the air. It would be another cold, leaf-bare morning it seemed. She'd have to go check on Raggedhwisker and the other elders, and see that their joints were not aching too much. As Acornleap sat at the mouth of her den, her head still tipped back to look up at the sky and the sunlight growing stronger, she could hear the sounds of Tansysight beginning to stir behind her, and she turned to greet her apprentice, offering a warm smile for the cat she had mentored for many moons, "Good morning Tansysight. Another cold morning, hm?"

i'm a caution taker, but baby you're a force of nature
tansysight tossed in her nest, unable to get the vision of black skies and thick rolling clouds out of her dreams. it had been like this for moons, the ominous messages that she wasn't sure how to describe to anyone and a heavy weight in her gut that something was lurking around the corner. it hadn't made her feel better to know that the spirits that she had confided in (and befriended, in thrushwing's case) had all but vanished. she knew that creamdapple was close to breaking, and that things were about to get very ugly very soon, but it wasn't her place to intervene. tansysight was clear to fallenleaf when they were both kits that she had to keep her sister close to her, there was nothing more to do.
sighing, and giving up on the thought of more well deserved rest, tansysight rolled over in her nest and glanced across the den to where acornleap's nest was and frowned. seemed her mentor was already up and at it for the day. odd, it was early for her. tucking that thought to the back of her mind, tansysight stretched languidly in her nest before rolling into the upright position and shaking the sleep from her body (and the moss) for good. after a quick visit to the small pool they kept for moss balls and a private dirtplace for them and patients, tansysight took a deep breath, and headed to sit beside acornleap.
she smiled at her mentor warmly. she was the only one she could confide in these days. the spirits disappearing had unnerved her, she couldn't predict certain things like she was once able to. "good morning, acornleap." the bengal murmured quietly, sitting close to offer her the shared warmth of both of their bodies. "cold in more ways than one, yes. at least greenleaf is swiftly on it's way." she said, and looked up the dawn sun breaching the horizon. fallenleaf was already stirring, with nettleheart right behind her, eager to see off the patrol leaving, and she hummed. apprentices were sleepily leaving their den, grabbing a quick bite before heading out to meet their mentors, and she noted with a quiet snort that coalstar was sill slumbering with sunshower in their den. "the spirits have been oddly quiet recently though. it's concerning." tansysight said quietly, careful to keep her voice low from prying ears."I never thought i'd miss their presence."
uiido.♥ NOTES several months late but this is fine. its fine. all fine. also new post template wheeee
Tansysight had always been somewhat distant with her Clanmates, something that Acornleap had tried to ease by integrating her more into her Clan, but being who she was, there was always going to be a limit to that. However, she was glad to see her apprentice return her smile warmly as well. As medicine cats, mentor and apprentice, their bond would always be different than anyone in the Clan. After all, most cats didn't go take a trip to speak to their ancestors every half moon.
But even with the smile, Acornleap noticed something was troubling Tansysight, but she didn't have to ask before Tansysight was opening up and confessing what was troubling her. Acornleap frowned with concentration as she thought over the spirits that visited Tansysight. She herself had an exceptionally strong connection with StarClan, but she was talented with visits in dreams and reading omens and prophecies when she was awake. Tanysight was different - she was as aware of her ancestors walking besides her in daylight as she was with Acornleap sitting next to her. But, if half of the cats in her life somehow had vanished without warning, Acornleap would find that alarming too.
Gently, Acornleap flicked her tail so that the tip was touching Tanysight's shoulder. "Perhaps they have nothing to say right now," she mewed reassuringly, but her tone was not dismissive. "Or perhaps their silence is a warning of its own. Omens are not always clear after all. Shall we go asked Raggedwhisker for his input? Or would you like to go to the moonpool to speak to starClan directly?"

i'm a caution taker, but baby you're a force of nature
tansysight kept her gaze trained on the clearing of her clan as she listened to acornleap's suggestion. it was true that they were just... quiet. however, it wasn't something that comforted tansysight. kits always bounced around her paws, asking about different herbs, and elders curled around their clanmates as they slept and told her stories. different warriors would gaze longingly upon the kin they left behind and relay messages for tansysight to pass on. thrushwing was a ever constant presence in her life, snippy as they may be, and even they were gone. "i suppose." tansysight agreed quietly, not quite believing it. "just odd is all." she said, melting a tad under acornleap's comforting touch.
she thought about talking to raggedwhisker to get his thought on it, and frowned. raggedwhisker had been a help through all of this, especially with the whole fiasco of meeting reedpelt when she was a kit. she could confide in him, and the other elders knew to keep their distance of tansysight went in to visit, it was not a social call. "we can yes." she hummed quietly, and flicked her tail nervously. "is the camp always this quiet? without spirits constantly bickering in your ear and demanding things?" tansysight asked, mouth curving down into a frown. "it's... i don't know what it is. i don't think it's pleasant though." she said quietly.
Though Tansysight seemed to think Acornleap might have a point, she didn't seem comforted by the silence of the spirits that usually surrounded her. But she humored her mentor with an answer, though the older she-cat knew that her heart wasn't in it. It was hard to figure out a course of action for Tansysight, as her case was so unique. But Raggedwhisker was the oldest living medicine cat - though he was long retired, though he no longer traveled to the moonpool, and went to the gathering as rarely, no one ever stopped being a medicine cat. Not really. His input would be of value.
When Tansysight agreed to take a visit to Raggedwhisker - it was always easier to pay him a social call opposed to asking the old tom to head to the medicine cat's den on his old bones - Acornleap rose to her paws to head out towards the elder's den. She only made it a few steps before she glanced over her shoulder towards Tansysight when the young she-cat spoke. She paused, frowning, as she pondered the question. "I suppose I've never considered it the same way you have," Acornleap admitted, "But, no, I would say it's not always this quiet. Peace can often cause quiet, so it can be worth the trade off."
